Alanna Riddell, Educational Assistant	Prince Charles School (Belleville)	Alanna is an outgoing, positive and dedicated staff member. She always finds strengths in students and situations, loves children and has fun doing her job! Alanna recently had a schedule change and was beginning to work with a new student. She spent time finding resources and materials that they would find engaging to ensure she could build a positive and trusting relationship with the student. She shares highlights with parents to help them have confidence in the work the team is doing to support their children. Alanna is always laughing, thinking of others and goes out of her way to making our school a thoughtful and caring place for staff and students.
Amy Young, Teacher	Bayside Secondary School	Amy is a joy to share an office with. Her jokes always brighten my day. She'll surprise us with Timmy's runs. She's always thinking of ways to make learning fun and engaging for students.
Andrew Brown, Learning Support Teacher	Harmony Public School	As soon as you walk into the school you can usually hear and see Andrew surrounded by people laughing. Andrew always ensures that every staff member, student, family and visitor feels welcome and supported—with a big smile on his face. If you have ever had the pleasure of meeting and/or working with Andrew he is the definition of a ray of sunshine.
Ashley Colbeck, Designated Early Childhood Educator	York River Public School	Ashley is always positive. She created a You Are Amazing board where staff can nominate each other and then she does a draw for a prize.
Ashley Elliott, Learning Support Teacher	V.P. Carswell Elementary School	Ashley is a ray of sunshine. From your first interaction with her in the morning, she is sharing her light with students and staff. We are thankful to have Ashley on our team. She coaches, plays, shares and celebrates.

Bev Maybee,	Quinte Adult Education	Bev's passion for excellent service is evident in the way she approaches each day. It is clear, in her email and telephone responses, that she wants each new adult learner to be successful. She has a special way with people and immediately puts them at ease. Bev has devoted the majority of her career to supporting adult learners and always has a big smile.
Bridget Stevenson, Teacher	Queen Victoria School	Bridget really supports children with their inquiry and takes so much extra effort to arrange materials for the ongoing inquiry in the class.
Chris Bakker, Secretary	Trenton High School	Chris is a great team player who brings rays of sunshine to our school every day. If you are feeling down, she has a way of putting a smile on your face. Chris has a great attitude!
Dave Andrews, Custodian	Foxboro Public School	Dave goes above and beyond his role. He is always smiling and so very helpful. He goes out of his way to ask how my day was every single day. He brightens my days!

Her smile is contagious and she radiates love and compassion with every word she says, song she sings, and step she takes. She has supported and inspired countless students over her 25+ year career. She gives her time at lunch and after school for students to attend events, or just to have space to make music.
Erin Rose, Teacher	Bayside Secondary School	Erin's humour and welcoming nature make the school a light-hearted and positive space to be. Erin brings an energy and enthusiasm that is contagious.
Ian McGregor, Teacher	Central Hastings School	Any problem that comes up, Ian is ready to drop everything and solve it for you. When a staff member is stressed and spinning, Ian always has a humorous perspective to share to snap them out of it.
Jen Kyle, Learning Support Teacher	Central Hastings School	Jen shows amazing empathy and compassion for all students in our building. She raises the bar for students in our Learning Support Program class and holds high expectations for our Community Integration Program students. She is a warm demander with the perfect amount of pressure and support.
Julie Spence, Secretary	Deseronto Public School	Julie is always helpful when students need a laugh, smile, or comfort—from band-aids, to ice packs and a kindly smile. She is there to make a colleague laugh and feel welcome! Students feeling low can always talk to her and feel better than they did walking in.
Katie Sherlock, Office Assistant	Bayside Secondary School	Katie is always compassionate and understanding. She is kind to everyone and always finds the light heartedness of the situation. She has a smile on her face and never gives up. Katie is responsible for the Bayside electronic sign and always puts up goofy, inspirational quotes for the whole community to see!
Kelly Craig, Educational Assistant	Foxboro Public School	Kelly always goes above and beyond to support the social, emotional and academic needs of our focus students. She is adored and respected by all students, staff and parents within our school community.
Kim Hutchison, Head Secretary	Trent River Public School	She always works quickly and efficiently to ensure all school needs are met. She greets parents with a smile and is incredibly knowledgeable about all board and government policies. She arrives at work early every day and rarely misses time. She puts in 100% effort at work and is always there for a co-worker.
Leaf Worsley, Teacher	North Hastings High School	Leaf is a positive force every single day. She brings fun, smiles and laughter to learning in her classroom, she helps her peers with questions, problems, solutions, and a wealth of knowledge and experience. She is forever taking part in school-wide initiatives like our House System, Spirit Days and fund-raising initiatives. She makes all the staff in her department better teachers simply by being actively present in our professional and personal lives.

Mary Hutchison, Teacher	Eastside Secondary School	Mary, along with Gayle Miller, organized Link Crew for our incoming Grade 9s and initialized a positive school culture to start the school year.
Mary-Lou Diamond, Educational Assistant	Park Dale School	Mary-Lou is a super hero, delivering little bundles of joy-bombs to classrooms daily. Each day there is a new explosion and Mary-Lou is the first hero on-scene! She supports so many students and is always a smiling! This woman needs a cape!
Megan McFarland, Teacher	Trent River Public School	Megan always has a smile on her face with students and staff. She is a positive ball of energy who does so much, including all the prep, planning and delivery of our much needed Food for Learning program. This behind the scenes extra work is necessary for our large student population and she does it happily and eagerly.
Nathan Lumsden, Teacher	Prince Charles Public School (Trenton)	Nathan is always smiling and always ready with a joke or a silly remark. He is the class clown of our school and on the days when he’s away, it’s a whole lot less fun to be here. He leads our Food for Learning program and is truly a ray of sunshine both in and out of his classroom.
Rhonda McFaul, Secretary	Park Dale School	Rhonda is the absolute, most positive individual who is always so quick to help and share feel good stories. She is a rock to the Park Dale community.
Sarah Baily, Learning Support Teacher	Prince of Wales Public School	When I speak with Sarah, I sense a deeply passionate and compassionate person who genuinely supports so many children in our school. We teach students with immensely complex needs and she is always there to listen and offer suggestions on how we can help. She has close relationships with a lot of the parent/guardians as well, calling them and making sure they feel support, too. Sarah exudes calm, gentleness and love.
Sarah Gatchell, Teacher and Ashley Colbeck, Designated Early Childhood Educator	York River Public School	Sarah and Ashley are always positive through all the challenges. There positive and upbeat attitude is so contagious. There is always laughter in the staff room when this team is part of the conversation. Sarah and Ashley are our incredible team. Our school is a bright place to work because of these two.
Sarah Vance, Teacher	York River Public School	Sarah is a great teacher! Sarah has been extremely helpful to me while planning and learning about different aspects of teaching. Whenever I have a technology question or challenge she is always willing to help me. Sarah works tirelessly with her students helping them both academically and with their social/self regulation skills.
Sarah Wannamaker, Teacher	Central Hastings School	Sarah is 100% for the students and is always cheering them on to achieve their credits. She is the glue that holds CHS together. She works extremely hard to support students academically, socially and emotionally. She works tirelessly to organize school programs, such as SHSM, Undergraduate Awards and Grade 9 Orientation. She is one of those people that works hard behind the scenes.
Shawna McCabe, Office Assistant	Trenton High School	Shawna is very helpful all the time. She is also extremely kind to all students, staff and families.
Sherri Therrien, Secretary	North Trenton Public School	From the first time we meet at Prince Charles many years ago, Sherri greeted me with a smile and a welcome. Twelve years later I received the same treatment when I transferred to North Trenton PS. Sherri is a wonderful person and a pleasure to work with. I've seen her deal with difficult situation's calmly and professionally. The roles of a school secretary are many and varied. A few examples are an accountant, security guard and a counselor for upset staff and students. Sherri excels at her job and puts a smile on everyone's face day in, day out.
Sue D'Angelo, Vice-principal	York River Public School	She always has a smile on her face. She stops by to tell people they are doing a great job. She runs the breakfast program by herself and always has your back.
Suzanne Moorcraft, Accounting/ Procurement Analyst	Education Centre	Suzanne has gone over and above helping the schools with their year-end KEV rollovers. Extra time was put in to ensure tight deadlines were met. Without Suzanne's extra hard work and dedication, the financial deadlines would not have been met, which could cause a delay in our audit.
Tammy Corrigan, Educational Assistant	Foxboro Public School	Tammy always goes above and beyond to support the social, emotional and academic needs of our focus students. She is adored and respected by all students, staff and parents within our school community.
Theresa Woodcock, Educational Assistant	York River Public School	Theresa is a wonderful person. She always has a smile and kind word for both staff and students. Theresa is always willing to help out in the classroom/school.
