2:50 p.m., Tuesday, April 23
York River Public School and North Hastings High School will remain closed to students on Wednesday, April 24 due to severe flooding in the town of Bancroft and the forecast of rain. Buses will not run to those two schools. Please do not send your child to school on Wednesday.
This decision has been made in coordination and cooperation with municipal officials in Bancroft and other partner organizations in the interest of student and public safety. Schools will be open to staff, who can report to work as usual.
All other HPEDSB North Hastings schools will be open to students on Wednesday, April 24. Transportation will run as usual, unless otherwise noted on the Tri-Board Student Transportation Services website http://www.triboard.on.ca
The situation in Bancroft is being monitored day-by-day. Decisions about student attendance at school beyond Wednesday will be communicated as soon as they are known.
If you have any questions or concerns about your child's attendance at school, please contact the school principal.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
