The HPEDSB International Student Program is excited to welcome 70 students from 12 different countries this September. Some students are here for one semester, while others will be here for the full school year. Students will be attending Bayside, Centennial and Eastside secondary schools and will be living with host families assigned by HPEDSB.
The whole group met at the Education Centre on September 1 for orientation, along with volunteer Canadian Student Ambassadors from the participating secondary schools.
The International Student Program, now in its 26th year, offers a positive educational and cultural experience for international students, while also providing opportunities for Canadian students, school staff, host families and the local community to engage with and appreciate other cultures.
