Congratulations to Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation (OSSTF) Student Achievement Award winner, North Hastings High School student Odin Worsley!
Odin, a second time Student Achievement Award winner, won the Digital Arts 9-12 category. This year's theme was "Is anyone out there?" Odin created a clever and detailed video game for children called Finding My Way Home. In the video game, the main character, Kiran, overcomes obstacles in their spaceship, journeying through several stages in space to find the other astronaut, Ripley. Kiran finally finds the connection they were looking for, in the other astronaut, and together, they navigate their way home.
The Student Achievement Awards is a writing and creative arts competition, which is open to all public secondary school students in Ontario. The competition is meant to encourage the intellectual development of students and an interest in society.
