KL and RM Skills Ontario Medalists

HPE has once again had students on the podium for welding at Skills Ontario.

Congratulations to Kiersten Lewis, who won a silver medal for Welding and Remington Moore, who won a bronze medal for Welding at the Skills Ontario Competition 2025 in Toronto. Both students attend Bayside Secondary School and teacher Mike Burns was their advisor for the competition.

There were also quite a few students with top ten finishes. Congratulations for being among the best in Ontario go out to

  • Bailey M. (Eastside Secondary School) and Ella C-B (Central Hastings School): Auto Service Technology–10th place tie
  • Dominic P. (Central Hastings School): Baking–8th place
  • Olivia H. (Bayside Secondary School): Fashion Design–9th place
  • Liam L. (Bayside Secondary School): Precision Machining–6th place
  • Gavin R. and Hawksley M.W. (Bayside Secondary School): TV/Video Production–6th place
  • Edynn G. (Central Hastings School): Workplace Safety–6th place
