Students from the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board earned top honors at the Skills Ontario Qualifier held at St. Lawrence College on April 11, 2026. Competing against 11 other school boards, HPEDSB students secured five of the twelve medals awarded.
This was achievement was made possible through the hard work of all participants and the dedicated coaches who supported them in preparing for these technical challenges.
Qualifier Results:
Welding: Gold – Remington Moore (Bayside Secondary School); Silver – Kiersten Lewis (Bayside Secondary School)
Individual carpentry: Gold – Jaxen Fluke (Bayside Secondary School)
TV and video production: Gold – Shea Dostaler & Cadence Wright (Central Hastings School); Silver – Hawksley Marshall Way & Laura Kari (Bayside Secondary School)
