LOCATION: Queen Victoria School, 46 Pine Street, Belleville
Hosted by Matt Richardson, a local consultant about online safety and digital well-being, this seminar will provide parents/guardians with expert advice for safeguarding children and teens online, and for establishing healthy and respectful Internet habits.
Topics include: Tricky People, Online Safety, and Digital Well-Being. Richardson will provide practical advice for staying safe online and how to navigate the digital world in a responsible way.
This presentation is not appropriate for children under age 12.
Richardson has presented at other HPEDSB schools and is a popular facilitator with the Belleville Children's Safety Village. His messages reflect the realities of what children and youth encounter online.

It also presents a number of risks to their personal safety and emotional well-being, and can have negative impacts on their online image that can hinder their future goals. Parents will learn how to protect their children and instill healthy digital habits that will set them up for future success."
