Statement regarding the Ontario College of Teachers' disciplinary hearing for Sean Norman Gary Monteith
Hastings and Prince Edward Counties/June 25, 2023—Earlier today, the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) announced that it will be holding a disciplinary hearing for Sean Norman Gary Monteith.
According to the notice issued by the Discipline Committee of the OCT, Sean Norman Gary Monteith is alleged to be guilty of professional misconduct between in or about September 2019 and in or about September 2020 while employed by Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board (HPEDSB) as the Director of Education.
It is alleged that Mr. Monteith used the HPEDSB corporate credit card and/or sought and/or received reimbursement from HPEDSB for expenses that were personal in nature and/or in violation of HPEDSB policies.
